Today Fashion Forward Futures had its first presentation at the High School of Fashion Industries ! We got to connect with high school students, talk through real career and educational pathways into the fashion industry, and most importantly create space for them to feel seen, heard, and inspired. Huge thank you to Gabi, President of the Latinx Career and Cultural Association, for joining and sharing her experience at FIT and helping make this conversation even more impactful. Another big thanks to @kicknknowledge for hosting us!! This is just the beginning for this community. Our students had the opportunity to participate, create, and share—presenting their portfolios to @vashtie and @futuralaboratories , making zines with @shrimpzineclub & and engaging with the likes of @lukasabbat in a powerful day of learning, @andreaslaszlokonrath creativity, and community at Awake NY. 🔥🔥🔥🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 The event, celebrating the AJ1 High OG × V.A.A., featured Portfolio “Office Hours,” a Zine Workshop, and a “Free Game” panel—rooted in Virgil and Angelo’s shared commitment to accessibility and transparency in streetwear culture.
