Tomorrow Hubby and I were supposed to be on a plane heading back to Mexico so I could teach a whole new group of photographers about destination weddings in a beautiful villa.
Then the snow. Then the state of emergency here in NJ. Then all airports grounding flights with no date of resuming flights into Mexico in this part of the country. Then the internal war and violence that erupted. Then the shelter in place warning for all Americans there. Then the warning for Americans to consider changing plans and not visit at all.
As much as I wanted to be there for the attendees and the amazing husband and wife team who puts these retreats together, I have to believe my mom is watching over me from above on her heavenly birthday telling me to shelter in place & stay safe.
I will not question why my plans changed so abruptly. I will read the signs surrounding me. I was not meant to go on this trip. Safety first always.
For those on their way, attendees that messaged me excited to learn from me and all the models and vendors there setting up, I pray you are met with nothing but an amazing week and leave safely with memories and knowledge unmatched from the instructors who could make it.
I will also not be in Las Vegas in a few days to teach at WPPI. This year I am meant to be closer to home 💗
