We are still… speechless. Last night, Brian and I were awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at Dance Expo. This was a complete and total surprise and we still can’t believe how many people knew about it and pulled it off! And while there is still so much more we want to achieve in our lives, we are humbled and grateful to be brought into this circle and stand next to all the honorees that have been awarded in years past. Thanks to @davidelkinuschamp@robin88ray and @worldchampionproductions for recognizing our passion. Thanks to our family who showed up and surprised us during the presentation. But mostly, thanks to ALL of our @live2dancenashville students (past and current) for giving us the opportunity to share our love of dance with you. Tonight is our last night in this house.
Ten years of walls that held our prayers, our laughter, our tears, and so much life.
2015 felt like we opened the box of everything at once—new school acceptance for Brianna, our engagement, marriage, buying this house, pregnancy, and welcoming Willow into the world. It was the beginning of so much joy.
Fast forward a decade and 2025 came in with a completely different plan for our family. It has been a year of trials. Hurdles we didn’t expect. Disappointment, uncertainty, loss, and heartache that tested us in every way. And yet… it ends with the biggest answer to our prayers. A gift from God we waited so patiently for.
I read recently that 2025 was the Year of the Snake—symbolizing shedding, refinement, and preparation for growth. That couldn’t feel more true! It all finally made sense. While our faith was tested repeatedly and relentlessly, our hope never wavered. We trusted that God was working, even when we couldn’t see how. Always in His perfect timing.
We’ll look back on this year with gratitude for what it prepared us for, and we’ll forever cherish the memories these walls gave us over the last decade.
And now… 2 full moving trucks and a trailer are all packed up and ready to go. The house is empty. We’re ready.
Ready to close this chapter.
Ready to step forward.
So ready to see what 2026 will bring. Goodbye Sparta. Thanks for the memories. 🤍✨

In a nutshell… it’s absolute chaos, confusion… and so much fun! 💃🕺 This is what it looks like to churn out 15 routines in 2 weeks. (I strongly recommend working with your husband: it keeps you giggling 😉)
LOTS of goofing around, laughing too much, getting confused… a lot. My brain hurts. But I’m so excited to see our incredible students bring these dances to life on stage!
They are the true miracle workers. It all turns into magic on the dance floor. ✨ Animated Ballroom is gonna be one heck of a SHOWCASE!
