✨ Storytime – 11/22 (2nd slide) Lonng post. 🚨
I was invited to a screening of Sinners, knowing the cast wld be there. Something in my spirit tld me that this day wld be special. I went out & bought a suit, had my daughter help me get ready, & even posted on my story that this night was going to be a life-changing moment. After the screening, I rushed toward the stage hoping to get Ryan’s attention. First, the director Barry walked over, so I quickly gave him my pitch. He told me to DM him and that he’d connect with me. Then I tried to pitch Ryan. He was kind and acknowledged me, but they were rushing him off. I thought, Okay, maybe that was the moment… at least the director will respond. As I started leaving the building, I looked to my left and there was Ryan & his wife walking out, just 2 staff members with them and me. I quickly started practicing my speech in my head. I whispered to myself, “Thank you God… this is the moment I saw in my vision.” But the closer they got, the more I got inside my own head. I questioned everything even how to pronounce their names. I whispered “Mr. / Mrs.” under my breath… then I put my head down. 🤦🏽♀️ They paused for a second… almost like it was my last opportunity. And nothing came out. They slowly walked away. 🥲 In that moment, and for weeks after, I felt defeated. I couldn’t even watch interviews or speeches from them because every time people talked about how kind they are, it reminded me that I froze. I felt like I let my team down. But eventually I told myself something important: That moment didn’t happen so I cld fail. It happened so I wld never miss an opportunity again.
From that day forward, every room I walk into, I walk in with confidence & I leave it all out there. deep in my spirit I believed that God wld allow our paths to cross again.
This time, I prayed to be prepared. Last night… it happened.
I approached. I spoke from the heart. God blessed it. He tld me 2 connect with Francine. After speaking with her, it was hard holding back tears. I felt supported. I felt heard. She tld her asst to put me at the top of her Agency list. 😭🙏🏽 God is good yall! #ɴᴇᴠᴇʀɢɪᴠᴇᴜᴘ #blessed #grateful
