For 52 years, KHCC has been lighting the way for more than 6,000 youth and families across the Bronx. None of this work is possible without the generosity of those who stand beside us. Because of you, nutritious meals reach families, free mental health services remain accessible, early childhood programs thrive, and young people are supported every step of the way—from cradle to career.

Teacher Appreciation Week is a reminder of the educators who make KHCC’s mission real every single day.
Teaching takes many forms across our programs: Early Learn, 3-K, and Pre-K teachers laying the foundation for lifelong learning in our youngest participants. After School educators supporting students from kindergarten through fifth grade. ESOL instructors empowering adult learners with the language skills to thrive. Respite specialists bringing consistency, joy, and dignity to participants with developmental disabilities. Each of these professionals brings expertise, patience, and deep commitment to the Northwest Bronx. KHCC is proud to celebrate them and grateful for the irreplaceable role they play in the lives of the 6,000+ youth and families we serve. 🍎❤️

Thousands of New Yorkers submitted ideas for community projects this fall, and randomly selected residents from each borough reviewed, refined, and ultimately chose which proposals would advance to the citywide vote this spring.
Now, these projects are one step closer to becoming reality — the winning ideas will be funded through the New York City budget and implemented by community-based organizations across the city.

No one does prom like the Bronx. 👗🕴️ This past Friday, our Teen Center and CFP Program brought our My Body, My Choice Prom Drive to life with free haircuts, makeovers, wardrobe refreshes, and real resources all in one room.
In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we created a space where our community could glow up and give back to themselves. Hundreds of advocates, survivors, and partners gathered at Lou Gehrig Plaza for the Bronx Denim Day March 2026, marching, rallying, and standing shoulder to shoulder to say it loud: there is no excuse, and there is never an invitation. Sexual violence will not be met with silence here.
