KineticGlass DRIP Baby Oil Water on the Lens?! Nope, thats baby oil. There is a lot to unpack here. Smoldering highlights, bokeh, ghosting, doubling, and subjects that vaporize / materialize. Filling KineticGlass partially (in this case 1/4 of the way) creates DRIP. Baby Oil was used in the following demonstrations though any substance can be used. Each fluid has unique characteristics i.e. viscosity, refraction, number of droplets, color etc. Aperture plays a major role in the outcome. Opening up causes wispy flares while stopping down accentuates the droplets. @priscilla_mars @dakota___blue Gaffer- @danielsjorgenson AC- @alxandxra Rain- @mr.dekunle Driver- @scottryanbond Vehicle - @group_b_weddingcarsla Director/DP- @khan_flix

Mirage Isopropyl + Water Mirage causes the image to distort wildly and return back to clear. A turbulence will encroach on center frame and eventually become invisible. Every camera/lens combination produces its own unique effect. Mirage can be consistently and predictably repeated if spun slow and continuously. In the Black and White images the follow focus unit was set to calibrate. This causes a swirling effect that starts from edges of frame and gradually works its way to the center! The color profile can be altered by coloring the water and or isopropyl. SET and RISE are in the same class but use colors. Mirage is considered “unstable,” which means each time it is activated, the effect becomes weaker until it is indistinguishable. Mirage must be reset once the effect has vanished. Catch & Release Fishing Line C&R creates chaotic flares that dance across the image. C&R matches light sources and will pick up light striking from out of frame. Every camera/lens combination produces its own unique effect. This effect changes based on the lens, focal length, and aperture. Flare characteristics change based on rotating the filter or letting the strands fall organically. Alternate effects can be achieved by using different colors, lengths and widths of fishing line. Longer strands will cause flares to linger longer. More strands will increase the strength of the effect. The fishing line can be bent and shaped to produce alternate flare patterns. The color of the flare can be customized using colored fishing line. Green fishing line will produce green flares, blue fishing line will produce blue flares. Colors can be mixed to create a specific combination of colors. Green and Blue fishing line will produce green and blue flares. Now available for your next project!
