- It is the 1st production car with Aluminum monocoque chassis.
- Gordon Murray, the legendary designer of the McLaren F1, has openly said that the Honda NSX (NA1) played a major role in shaping the Mclaren F1
- Ayrton Senna deeply involved in the development of the Honda NSX
