I wrote a song, dedicated to the children of Palestine, past, present and future. And to all children of genocide. It’s called ‘A simple song’. May it meet this moment in hope, while the tide of global consciousness is changing, so the child born now grows up in a world with a free Palestine, and what that will mean for every child everywhere. Please share far and wide. - Thank you to everyone who made this song and recording possible. Family, friends, teachers, comrades, and @dadatrew , mother to my children. Footage of Bournemouth beach courtesy of @ledbydonkeys Studio footage filmed by Jamie Isbell and DOP @itsjohnnyho , with Jam+Post. Edited by @milanim__ Song recorded at the incredible @eastcotestudios . Thank you @martinterefe , @dave_okumu_ and all the incredible artists who joined me on the journey of this track. Full credits coming soon, and a fuller release on all platforms with and through @gulbabamusic .

My full speech before @massiveattackofficial ’s set at the LIDO festival on Friday. Massive Attack - these legends of music and legends of conscience, showing us what it means to live a better world now. What an extraordinary night, and what an honour to try and live up to. And what a joy to share a stage with the magnificent @inuaellams , a friend who I consider a guiding star, and to chant Free Palestine together at the end. The one phrase I wanted to say that I forgot was: When you stand up for Palestine, you find yourself, you find your people and your people find you. Perhaps it was so deeply in the air it didn’t need to be said. - Let’s keep going everyone. #FreePalestine - And thank you again everyone @palestinesolidarityuk for this video and everything you do.

Nakba means “catastrophe” in Arabic. It is the word used to describe the mass displacement of Palestinians in 1948, when more than 750,000 people were forced from their homes and entire communities were destroyed or emptied. But for many Palestinians, the Nakba is not only a piece of history. It is remembered through family stories, old house keys still kept safe decades later, refugee camps that became permanent homes, and generations of children growing up in displacement. Today, children in Gaza are still living through the consequences of forced displacement and insecurity. Palestinian children deserve more than survival. They deserve a future that isn’t defined by war. On #NakbaDay, we remember the past, and recognise the reality many families are still living today. #Nakba78, #NakbaDay, and #Nakba

It has never been more important to stand up and turn out to send a very clear message that we as a movement cannot be silenced. Truth will always be louder than propaganda and lies. In a moment where it feels like hatred and censorship is winning, we must push through even stronger!! Together we can protect what matters most- humanity.

Paloma Faith and Dale Vince are among the public figures demanding Britain apologise for 'direct responsibility' in Palestine. More than thirty celebrities and business leaders have signed our open letter calling on the Prime Minister to formally apologise for Britain's unlawful actions in Palestine between 1917 and 1948. The letter is released today on Nakba Day, marking the 78th anniversary of the displacement of over 700,000 Palestinians in 1948. Read the full story in The Metro (link in our bio).

The UK Home Office denied visas to all Palestinian artists who were scheduled to attend and perform at a Nakba commemoration event at London’s Troxy venue. The New Arab spoke with actor and activist Khalid Abdalla about the disruption and the UK’s historical and continued suppression of Palestine. @khalid3bdalla – known to many for portraying Dodi Fayed in Netflix’s The Crown, and to others for his outspoken advocacy for Palestine – was one of the key organisers behind the gathering.
