British Bangladeshi professional boxer Khalid Ali is set to return to the ring on June 13 at York Hall, marking his first fight in nearly two years. 🇧🇩 @khalid24ss
The Brick Lane fighter holds an unbeaten record of 8-0 and has been building his name steadily on the domestic circuit. Known for his composure and discipline in the ring, Ali had started to gain real momentum before his progress was interrupted by injury.
His last fight came against John Henry Mosquera, a bout that quickly turned into a tough and physical contest. During the fight, Ali suffered a torn bicep, but continued to push through and fight on despite the injury.
Fighting through that kind of damage showed a level of resilience that doesn’t always get seen at that stage of a career. However, the injury itself forced him into a long period out of the ring, halting his activity at a crucial time.
Since then, Ali has been out of competition, focusing on recovery and rebuilding his strength. The time away has been spent getting back to full fitness and preparing for a return that puts him back on track.
Coming out of Brick Lane in East London, Ali represents a growing presence of British Bangladeshi fighters in professional boxing. His rise has been followed closely within the community, particularly among younger fans who see him as someone coming from a similar background and making his way through the sport.
York Hall, one of the most recognised venues in British boxing, will host his comeback. It has long been a stage for fighters looking to re-establish themselves, and for Ali it presents the opportunity to return to action and continue building on his unbeaten record.
June 13 will be his first appearance since the Mosquera fight and the injury that followed. The focus now is on getting back into the ring, performing well, and continuing the progression he had built before the setback.
