As I move forward this year, there are so many things to be grateful for from last year, to travelling the world with the woman I love
@nadiajames_ and officially becoming property owners, giving us the opportunity to turn a house into a home, breaking the cycles and building a strong foundation for family 🏡
That family that extends beyond something so intimate, being able to share parts of my story with people that have inspired me on my journey and being on the ground in other ghettos where distant relatives are, are constant reminders of the work that needs to be done… but the doors that have been opening are always reaffirming that I’m on the right path
Music being a new path in my creativity, never something I’d thought to do but happened so naturally like it was a calling.
It’s been an amazing year connecting with the my city and other parts of the world, from being on
@resident.music writing camp, opening up for
@_bawo 👊🏾 and performing in front of people like
@kennyallstar it shows the strength in what I’m doing.
I’m really doing this for my people, a way to be a vessel for love and truth to restore back community🌍.
Looking back, last year was all about stepping onto the other side of fear, what happens is transformative, becoming someone I never thought existed and seeing how much more love there is to share with one another through the things we’re blessed with.
Everyday challenges us, but what we’re left with is our spirit, our character, never let the system break you, change the cycles of pain into purpose.
