Congratulations to every winner at the Hunter Safety Awards last night. ⭐️
It was a privilege to be part of such a powerful evening celebrating the people who work hard to make a difference.
I may not have taken home a win on the night, but I already know I’m a winner — because what I do is my why, and I get to do it with people I truly value and enjoy working alongside.
Thank you to my amazing family, friends and clients for all you support and love.
“Everyone deserves to go home in the same, or even better, mental and physical condition.. Yes… even better!” 🙌 🔐

In my leadership training sessions, it’s always the #1 question:
“How do I show genuine care and concern without looking soft?” 🤔
Here’s the truth I share based on my experience:
Empathy isn’t weakness—it’s your strategic edge. It’s about truly seeing your people’s challenges, listening with intention, and leading with heart to build unbreakable trust.
When teams feel valued, engagement soars, and results follow. As someone who’s seen it transform workplaces, I’ll tell you:
Make empathy your daily practice. Your teams—and your outcomes—will thank you.
Strong leadership starts with human connection… after all our teams are our greatest asset!

Since 2022, Psychosocial Management has not just been good practice—it’s been a legislative requirement.
But more importantly, it’s about people. Our teams, our mates, our responsibility to look out for one another.
Psychosocial hazards aren’t always visible, but their impact is real. Stress, fatigue, poor communication, workplace pressure—these are things that can affect anyone.
Creating a safe workplace means more than managing physical risks.
It means involving your workers, having the conversations, identifying the risks together, and putting the right controls in place.
Because at the end of the day, safety is about being your “brother’s or sister’s keeper” —making sure everyone goes home not just physically safe, but mentally well too.
If have genuine care and concern for your team but you’re not sure where to start to ensure your compliant, now is the time to have that conversation.

I’m incredibly excited (and a little proud!) to share that I’m becoming a contributing author in Voices of the 21st Century. 📕 😊
This opportunity means a lot to me, not just professionally, but personally.
It’s a chance to share my journey in Work Health and Safety—my philosophies, experiences, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way working across industries and alongside so many dedicated people.
WHS is more than compliance to me—it’s about people, culture, and creating environments where everyone goes home safe, supported, and respected. Being able to contribute my voice to this publication is an opportunity to advocate for that on a broader platform.
I’m looking forward to sharing insights, challenging perspectives, and hopefully inspiring others in our industry to keep raising the standard.
Exciting things ahead! Watch this space!

Two workers are dead in Australian workplaces in just 48 hours. 😢
My thoughts are with the family, friends and workmates and of these two workers. my thoughts are also with the emergency service workers and regulators that responded to these incidents.
Reports from Seven News cover:
• A glass‑delivery worker in Dural, NSW, crushed by falling panes.
• A worker at a quarry in the Redlands, QLD, fatally injured in a forklift‑related incident.
If you’re in charge onsite, take a moment to:
• Re‑walk your high‑risk tasks with your workers (manual handling of heavy materials, mobile plant, working at height).
• Check that controls are actually happening on the ground, not just on paper.
• Ask your team: “What’s the one thing that scares you on site?” and take action.
On average an Australian worker dies every two work days and it’s the tragic part is most Australians are not even aware!
Every worker deserves to go home from work and year to year way too many every week in Australia are not!

Today I had the absolute pleasure of delivering our “What the Heck of WHS?” seminar in partnership with PKF - Australia - Newcastle. 🔐
Let’s be real — getting your team home safely isn’t just a nice idea… it’s a legal obligation under legislation, but for many businesses, knowing where to start (without drowning in red tape) can feel overwhelming. 🤔
💥 That’s exactly what this session is all about.
🎒 We unpacked:
* What WHS actually means in real-world terms (no jargon overload)
* Key roles like PCBUs, Officers, Workers and what they really need to do
* The non-negotiable fundamentals every workplace should have in place
* Practical, achievable steps to meet your duties without overcomplicating it
* Where to go for support when things get tricky
And my favourite part? Creating a space where people felt comfortable asking the “silly questions” — because they’re never actually silly, and chances are half the room is thinking the same thing.
Huge thanks to @pkfsydnewc for the opportunity and to everyone who showed up, engaged, and contributed to such a great discussion 👏
If WHS has ever felt confusing, rigid, or just plain overwhelming — you’re not alone. But it doesn’t have to stay that way.
PM me to start the conversation today! 📲 💻

“What if we train them and they leave?”
I’ve heard this question more times than I can count. But here’s my challenge back:
What if we train them… and they stay?
At Key Consultation Solutions, I have just three ground rules when it comes to training:
1️⃣ Let’s have some fun — because learning doesn’t have to be serious to be effective.
2️⃣ Participation is key — the best insights come from shared experiences.
3️⃣ Everyone has something to teach — we learn the most when everyone shares their knowledge and experiences.
Training isn’t just about ticking a box. It’s about keeping great people, empowering leaders, and strengthening your workplace culture.
Key Consultation Solutions offers tailored, non-accredited training packages, toolbox talks and workshops across all areas of people management — from leadership and WHS consultation to HR and team development.
Ready to grow your team and keep them? Let’s talk training that makes a difference. 💡

If I’d wanted to be a policeman, I would’ve become one 🚓
But that’s not what I do. 🙅♀️
At Key Consultation Solutions, my approach to site inspections and audits is built on coaching and mentoring, not policing.
Our teams are the experts in what they do — no one knows the job better than the people out there making it happen every day.
My role is to help raise engagement and awareness around how we work safely, spot what’s working well, and keep that “she’ll be right” mindset from creeping in.
The goal! Stronger safety culture, practical improvements, and proactive conversations that make a real difference — not just another compliance tick box.
If this kind of approach could benefit your site, reach out and let’s make a plan that fits your team. 👷♀️💬

Times are tough for a lot of businesses right now. And in the middle of it all, there seem to be endless WHS changes, responsibilities, and expectations. 😩
I’ve heard from a lot of business owners lately saying, “Is this all worth it?”
I get it — I really do. When the pressure is on to hit deadlines, meet targets, and keep productivity high, that’s often when people start taking shortcuts or extra risks just to get the job done.
But it’s in these tough times that safety matters most. It’s when we need to double down on consultation, communication, and looking out for our teams.
At Key Consultation Solutions, I work with businesses to take the overwhelm out of WHS — keeping things practical, doable, and people-focused.
If your team could use some support to stay safe and engaged through the chaos, get in touch and let’s make a plan that works for you. 👷♀️💬
