This work comes from the love of my city and a deep obsession with peace. Being honored in this moment was very emotional because to be noticed for managing this AMAZING PROGRAM really means a lot! Today we got personal through music! Each student picked songs that tell the story of their life from childhood jams to tracks that got them through tough times. We listened, laughed, and even got a little emotional hearing why each song meant so much.
It was such a vibe hearing everyone’s playlists and the stories behind their choices. Music really does bring people together. 🎶❤️
Yesterday’s class was amazing! We had the pleasure of having Boye Sofidiya from Growing Up to come in and teach mediation skills to our students at the Peace Academy! The students did an excellent job with demonstrating how a mediation is conducted! Thanks Boye for always supporting the Peace Academy! #peaceacademy #cohort10 #peaceispossible❤️
Whewwww I am MFn Tired but I would not have done these two weeks ANY differently. My youngest boys went to their dances in one week and they both graduated this week! I am sooooo proud of them and I am excited to see how they blossom in middle and high school. Congrats Kori and Kolby Mommy will 4ever love you both 🩷🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
