highly recommend inviting all your closest people to hang in the woods for the weekend to watch you say the sappiest things to the kid who used to send you guitar covers over aim & officially seal the deal together. the outcome is feeling so loved and seen by the greatest humans two people could ever ask for, the most heartfelt and absolutely on brand words from @myschtummyhurts @jaydcadena @dshmeds @multsh and @jaylove88 and the most unforgettable few nights under the stars. our ceremony ran on punk time, I learned @cruddoctorr can hoist me onto her shoulder while not missing a single beat to welcome to the black parade, we walked down the aisle to ellipses by basement and were pronounced as a couple with spirit desire as the soundtrack. also, if you’re looking for an officiant @myschtummyhurts crushed his debut and will absolutely make you cry at the altar and if you don’t want anything to feel cookie-cutter @mamameds will spend months helping you customize the decor of your dreams. the train of my dress is full of dirt but our hearts are just full. thank you to everyone who made the long trip out to celebrate us, we are eternally grateful 🫶🏼 this insanely beautiful work is by our incredibly talented friends paige + corey at @goinghome.co a special shoutout to blair & abby at @savagesistersevents for helping us bring our vision to life, we will miss our chats & we love you both! and this weekend would not have been possible without the help of all our hardworking and gracious vendors: @bluemoonrisingdcl @goinghome.co @campfirefilmsandphotos @amandavicinellypromakeupartist @statiksalon @farmhousefete @kacompany.co @the_vwhub @themustardcouch @greetings.draws

2024 was good to us played with a bunch of incredible bands to amazing crowds, recorded our next release with the 🐐 @adam_cichocki , and got our music out to more ears than we ever imagined new music, more shows, and new cities coming in 2025, join the noise 💀

We saw the northern lights late monday night and I’m honestly still reeling about it!!! I had completely conceded to the fact that we would not be able to see them when we booked this trip for August, despite it being at the top of my bucket list. But huge thanks to Marta & Jan, the lovely owners of @valeriakaffi for letting us know they were visible just the night before! After a crash course in the KP index, magnetometers & 3 apps later, I was determined to at least try to find them. These photos are brought to you in part by a sliver of hope, caffeine and Kevin’s gracious support of my annoying ass when I ask him if he wants to stand in the middle of a cold field at 1 am with me (after 6+ hours of driving) for a literal 10% chance at a random sighting—which is usually how these things go. A full hour went by at our setup spot before we almost decided to pack it in, when I started to pull a dim green glow in my starry shots. That dim glow slowly turned into a spectacle that I can only describe as looking like a dragon from zelda soaring across the sky. I went from barely seeing anything to full on chasing miss aurora around the parking lot with my tripod in hand. Between dealing with the amount of sunlight still visible & how quickly it moved, it was technically the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to photograph. It wasn’t a particularly strong solar storm but when I got these shots I literally cried. The lights danced around us for a full 20 minutes before fading into the horizon around 3 am, we still can’t believe it. Thanks for reading if you’ve made it this far. This was an archival post for myself more than anything. A huge reason I got into photography in the first place was to one day be capable enough to capture the northern lights so this was pretty special for me.
