This run was no joke - I didn’t get much rest the night before and hadn’t trained as much as I wanted. That last mile cramping was wild 😂 but pushing through it reminded me how strong I really am. Your mind will take you way further than you think.

This year, I made a last minute decision to observe Ramadan. Might have been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve learned so much about myself and Allah in such a short span of time. It has impacted me so much that I decided to accept Islam and take my shahada. I’m excited for what this new life has in store. Alhamdulillah! Eid Mubarak to all the Muslims. First 5k in the books yesterday. My brothers and I showed up to support & give back to the homeless and less fortunate. Grateful to have earned 1st place in my age class .. all while fasting 🤲🏾 I’d say I did pretty good. Few Remain Chosen 🏁
