Printmaking highlight ❤️‍🔥 I’d just like to re-introduce some prints, process and projects ya might not have seen over the years! Outside of tattooing my big first love is printmaking ❤️ I predominantly work with woodblock and lino for my prints, and up until very recently, would work on the floor to carve and print! I got my very first etching press in July this year and it’s a game changer! A couple of my favourite print projects for local businesses @alphaboxdice 🍷 and a suite of imagery for @presqil 🌱 And of course myself and my dog Erna who evidently is also obsessed with printmaking ! Feelin lucky to be able to spend my time with two art forms that bring me so much joy 💚 thanks for lookin!

A graduate of the Bachelor of Visual Arts at Adelaide College of the Arts, Kerri has also completed Honours in Visual Arts at the University of South Australia and a Bachelor of Communication and Design at Billy Blue College of Design, Sydney. Kerri has previously led workshops at the Art Gallery of South Australia and Carclew and created commissioned artworks for South Australian businesses including Frame Creative, Alpha Box and Dice and Farmers Union Iced Coffee. Kerri currently works at House of Daggers Tattoo and her home printmaking studio. 😊💛

Next friday 17th April! WAUWI NIGHTS! an evening of vintage, vinyl and music ❤️‍🔥 I’ll be running a printmaking workshop available for everyone. Use pre-cut lino blocks to print designs or patterns to your thrifted clothing, or fabric patches to sew onto hats, jackets or whatever you like! CONGRATS to our first Landrum Woocut Bootcamp Award winner-Australian artist @kerriwright ! Kerri has been in the shop the past 2 weeks bringin’ the metal to her residency and producing 2 wonderful editions! It was a real treat having her working at the Spiderhole! We look forward to showing this print at some point in the future along with other award winners. Her piece, a two color woodcut entitled “Melancholia”, is an art historical nod to Albrecht Dürer. Special thanks goes out to @littlemeowjb , as well as EP crew members @chloroform121 & @jakestrauss24 for all the hours of assistance they provided! 2 weeks at Evil Prints with Tom Huck done n dusted! A fast and loose arts residency filled with long days and even longer nights, working to carve and print a chiaroscuro edition of my new block ‘melancholia’ PLUS a little woodblock print inspired by reading Coleridge in the midst of what felt like a fever dream.
