Commute by bike!
Our service manager and fit specialist @kernel.jsanders lives a good distance from the shop, but a few times a week, he’ll drive to the North Springs @martatransit and ride 15 miles into the shop.
Today @orangewalrus rode 17 miles from Decatur to join on that commute. Talk about the long route to work with some climbing! Life is much more exciting when you can make adventures out of the ordinary 😊

For those who have never been to an Earl’s Saturday ride, here’s what it’s all about:
These rides are designed to be challenging — but that’s the point! We are striving to create a positive and welcoming space to challenge yourself, to see what you are capable of, and to grow as a cyclist. We want everyone who shows up to know it’s ok to get dropped (all of the rides this Saturday are drop) because that’s how we grow! No shame in trying, learning, growing, and excelling.
For you rippers out there, we’ll keep pushing the climbs, mileage, and pace with new routes this year. Let’s have fun and grow stronger together 🤘🏽

We got out with the crew yesterday for some ramble ride scouting, and glad to report most trails around Kirkwood and EAV are in excellent condition! Get ready for some wooded exploration! New rides are coming soon.
Speaking of rides, with the impending rain tmrow, we’re canceling our Saturday 50 & 20 mi rides. But we’ll keep rolling with 30 mi (Gun Club) drop and no-drop options AND add a ramble option (Route TBD, check out stories)! Meet at 9 am

We’re switching things up for our morning ride. There will be a 50-mile (meet at 8 am) & 30 miles (meet at 9 am) option!

I’d like to say it was my art, but @sandersj92 proposed to his girlfriend before I could deliver this art for him. Either way, she said YES, and Josh and Crystal are engaged and my art gets to be a small part of that story. HOW SPECIAL IS THAT?! 😭💗
Josh has been an *amazing* supporter of my art and I was so honored when asked to create this for him. He was glowing when he asked, and I could see it through the email.
You guys— I don’t/very rarely take on art like this because it’s really not my art. But when your grandma asks you for a Minnie Mouse or an amazing supporter asks for a proposal, ya make it for them. If #nightmarebeforechristmas is so special to them for their relationship, I will 100% make that. I have to admit, I’ve never seen Nightmare Before Christmas! 🙈
Anyhow… Josh really supported me here and helped me come up with a solution for another way to frame my art. He was inspired by my original Oliver piece but wanted that traditional embroidery look. Utilizing the beautiful frames that Chelsea at @auburnhoops makes, we made his vision come to life. We used his handwriting for the words “Marry me?” I thought that would make it all the more special. 🥰
Crystal said yes. My art became part of their story. I’m so excited for their future and can’t stop feeling so blessed to be a part of this. Congrats, you two!
