We had the pleasure of hosting the Namibia Film Commission at our offices. Led by our CEO, Mr. Timothy Owase, MBS, the management team warmly welcomed Chairperson Ms. Esther Benkes, Executive Secretary Ms. Florence Haifene, and a delegation of independent filmmakers from Namibia.
This landmark engagement marked a significant step toward strengthening Kenya–Namibia collaboration within the creative industry. Discussions focused on the potential for a co-production treaty that would harness our shared strengths — from breathtaking scenic landscapes to vibrant and growing film sectors — in advancing bold, authentic, and groundbreaking storytelling.
Such collaborations created opportunities to elevate African cinema onto global platforms while fostering cultural exchange and opening new opportunities for filmmakers across the continent.
Our CEO, Mr. Timothy Owase, MBS, extends special thanks to all participants, partners, and stakeholders who joined us at the 8th Kalasha International Film & TV Market and contributed to its success. We officially launched the Embu International Film and Creative Arts Festival led by our Festival Director Ashley Murugi, we are on a mission to ensure that authentic African stories, told by Africans, reach a global stage.
We are proud to announce a strategic partnership with KTDA and KETEPA, bridging the gap between agriculture and the creative economy. As KTDA National Chairman Mr. Enos Njeru noted, this collaboration connects Kenyan heritage with younger digital audiences and creates vital income opportunities for creatives.
