our tuesday night sessions are for everyone to come and enjoy. it’s a place to build community, meet people and maybe learn a thing or two about skate/dance along the way. it’s about joy, connection and the love of skate. and it’s better when you come out and participate ✨

4/14 - belly dance with victoria - a professional dance teacher for years, victoria is excited to teach again and we are looking forward to learning new moves! this one will be off skates ✨
4/21 - line dance with barbara and kenny - two choreography specialists teaching intro line dance, going over choreo you’ll often see at 6th ave! 🩵
4/28 - roll bounce with bob - musicality & footwork 🎶

This is the part of my job I love most, creation, fabrication and building. I worked with an incredible welder @englishprops and we made a stacking spinning birthday cake! 🎂 I can’t say enough great things about them, if you’re a creator, aerialist etc- @englishanvil and team are the absolute best! I encourage you to come up with your own creative concepts and they’re the welders to make those dreams happen 🙏🏼 also a huge thank you to @tatasfornow who introduced me to them 🥹.

Thank you @jenniferkristine_aerial for recommending me. Thank you @christineleecirque@dahliasentertainment and @kirstenmzk for putting this all together. It felt amazing to be invited to perform with so many talented dancers and artists. I felt a little out of my league.
I had a hard time with this one because people would congratulate me on my performance and the first thing I would say was “I messed up” and I don’t know why I couldn’t just accept the compliment 😅 it shouldn’t matter because perfection was not the point of this performance, but I always set the bar so high. But thank you to my @revelroomstudios friends for coming to support 🥹
The last bit was freestyled a little differently each time. It turned out better than it felt. 🙃
I loved all the choreography for my Dark Fantasy performance, but this little moment here was my absolute fav. The moves, timing, and expressions fell in line perfectly. When I figured out this sequence, the entire dance “clicked” and I knew how to design all the rest of my shapes and transitions. This is the kind of art and expression Im going for 🤩💜🙏✨

On the surface, I was playing the character of a desperate warrior, drinking from a ritualistic chalice to become possessed by a the spirit of a demon. Forever battling the possession to gain strength to fight vampires. 🩸💀
Beneath the surface I was confronting my own demons of self doubt and body image issues. This was a container, and a ritual to face my fears, trust in the process, and give something to my community. I felt like this is my best performance so far and that I got yet another step farther in my own growth. 💅🏳️🌈🥰😸
