I’m recovering from an injury atm but I wanna post some clips from a video I saved up for over summer and I wanna start with this one
.
Watching edits from
@ampisound and the Cambridge/London community 6ish years back, I’d always see IMAX 2 and it had turned to a dream to double kong it; I’ve a video double konging some soft, mid-thigh, gymnastic blocks, about 2 years of training in and thinking “hey this isn’t too bad!”. It’d keep me up some nights just thinking bout the day I’d do it
.
Some months before heading to St Andrews for uni,
@jayavarman had just started his 3D printing business, and as a send-off gift, he gave me a 3D printing of this figure double-ing IMAX, telling me that’d be me one day
.
During my 4 years in the UK, I’d visit IMAX 4 times with mixed thoughts every time. First visit and I thought it looked decent. Second visit and I realised its actual scale and doubted if I’d manage it. Third visit and I told myself it wouldn’t be possible before leaving uni
.
Halfway through the end of my final year in uni, I came across the print lying in my drawer. I took it out and kept it on my bedside table just as a constant reminder to at least entertain the thought
.
With just a month or two left in uni, I decided I couldn’t leave without committing my best effort for one last trip to London solely for IMAX 2
.
Cheers
@calumpk @archpk @abdullah.phat @arthur.phat and of course
@jayavarman , for believing in probably the biggest achievement of my life so far
