On October 4, after a long levada hike, my best friend pulled off to a roadside vista and completely surprised me in the best way by asking me to marry him 💕 It was absolutely perfect. Nobody else I’d rather explore the world with for the rest of my life - including escaping big waves on black sand beaches and driving stick shift up near vertical streets to get to windy, misty, Lord of the Rings-esque mountain tops. Thank you for making this trip even more magical than I could ever imagine. I love you @kenjwright !! Madeira will now always have a special place in our hearts 🏔️☀️🌊
