- In the exhibition in Milan, you can experience the space, the architecture, and its traces—all brought to the surface by the classical photographic developer that Nicola Martini applied across the walls. This act itself is Nicola’s sculpture, guiding out the inherent "voice" of the material. In contrast to the room’s history revealed by Nicola, my small works regarding slopes—which are the crystallization of my own experiences—are placed on the floor. It is an exhibition where you can feel two different flows of time. @neuemartini @kenjiide - Kenji Ide / Nicola Martini 31.03 - 16.05.2026 @clima_gallery - The exhibition is part of the program of @milanoartweekofficial - Thank you, Francesco, Clarissa

- I'm pleased to announce new show. Duo show at Clima, Milano @clima_gallery Kenji Ide / Nicola Martini Opening reception 31.03.2026 From 18 to 21 On view: 01.04 - 16.05.2026 Moving from the broken plot of an abandoned backyard alley, the practices of Kenji Ide and Nicola Martini melt into a dark scenario of material presences, leftover of a hidden gathering. Martini re-enacts his ongoing work Sippe, a photosensitive tar who activates the gallery’s wall and their marks, embracing Ide’s punctual sculptural threads. The exhibition is part of the program of @milanoartweekofficial @kenjiide @neuemartini image 1 : A starange feeling, 2026

[…] Kaunas Biennial is running until November 23, 2025. Kenji Ide’s works can be viewed at Temporary M. K. Čiurlionis Art Gallery. _ Kenji Ide (b. 1981, Yokosuka, Japan) lives and works in Tokyo. Ide’s work focuses on the relationship between people and the sense of time that surrounds them. His small works, viewed from above, evoke memories and experiences of the past as well as a diary. Using material language to turn these abstract images into objects and three-dimensional works comes close to the sensation of building with the time of each material. The wood used as material and the objects Ide finds on the street create a visually intimate effect on personal time and relationships. At the heart of Ide’s work lies the idea of giving form to ambiguous atmospheres and memories through the use of air as a structure. @kenjiide #kenjiide #kaunasbiennial #wschodgallery

[…] Kenji Ide’s sculptures, composed of simple modular elements, are deeply rooted in Japanese aesthetics, natural forms, asceticism, and balance. At their core lies a profound engagement with materiality and emptiness. Ide’s work emphasizes the material qualities of objects – their texture, weight, and placement in space. He urges the viewer not only to observe the object but also to consider its physical presence and the sensations it elicits. Anton Munar’s practice involves a wide range of materials including oil, charcoal, distemper, gouache, ink, and pastel, applied on either canvas, linen or wood. Through the application of rich layers of paint, he builds up evocative compositions at the confluence of fragmented narratives drawn from the driving force of love, where interior and exterior spaces intertwine and where poetic visions infiltrate the physical world. #kenjiide #antonmunar

- I will be participating in Frieze London 2025 from Wschód @wschodgallery . For me, who believes that new ideas emerge from the intersection of diverse cultures and the resulting fissures, sharing a single booth with a remarkable Danish painter, Anton Munar @antonmunar , from an Eastern European gallery, Wschód represents a highly challenging approach. I am very much looking forward to seeing what kind of chemistry occurs. While such collaborations across distances are, in a sense, very contemporary, drawing on the backdrop of social media effects, I believe the actual friction between works rubbing against one another remains stimulating in any era. My work is born from such emotions. - Frieze London 2025 @friezeofficial 2025.15th Oct - 19th Oct The booth F23 Wschód Anton Munar, Kenji Ide - image : The time spent thinking of you
