In SOMA, mahal is something you practice.
It’s the aunties and organizers who set up before the sun rises. It’s artists turning blank walls into memory. It’s DJs, vendors, elders, and youth choosing to gather again and again. It’s diaspora shaping belonging in real time. Mahal here means love, but it also means worth — something precious, something you invest in, something you protect.
As Valentine’s Day approaches, we’re widening the lens. Not just who you love, but what you build. What you return to. What you are willing to nurture for the long term. In a neighborhood shaped by migration, resistance, and cultural rebirth, that word carries weight.
Kreative Growth 2026 is rooted in this spirit.
