It’s been a most valuable African Philanthropy Forum conference at the Es Saadi Palace, Marakkech, where we delved into the theme, catalyzing funding to accelerate Africa’s transformation. I’m thankful to have represented @oladelefajemirokunfoundation where I shared real experiences, facts and figures from the Foundation’s EACHFEED and SMALINT programmes. The idea is to build sustainable funding through strategic partnerships and structures, for better impact in our local communities.
It’s been delightful, engaging and the conversations, intentional. Summarily, there is hope for Africa, but it requires the conscious actions of Africans for our light to shine.

Yesterday we had a focus group session on the Igbo apprenticeship system as captured in the film, Afamefuna: An Nwa Boi story. Truly, truly grateful to all the guests- Chief Camilius Amajuoyi (President, Alaba International Market), @obiasika , @alexxekubo , Murphy (Aforevo), Otunba Tunde Fajemirokun and Mrs. Faj, Chimezie Umerah @igbohistofacts , @illblissgoretti , Timothy Oluwole, and others for their valuable contributions. Specifically thankful to Moses Babatope and the FilmOne family and FilmHouse Group for putting this event together.

At the 10th Edition of the AMVCA, @demola.adedoyin won the award for Best Supporting Actor, for his role in Breathe of Life, over @alexxekubo (for Alexx's role in Afamefuna). I met him backstage, congratulated him, and jokingly hinted that he "hijacked" Alexx's award, which of course was tied to my bias as a Producer of Afamefuna...and forget, Alexx too, gave it 💯. Fast forward to 2025, Demola and I, are on the same production (Ìwé Àlá: An Ojude Oba story), where he's playing a key role.
The takeaway here is that we must remain progressive in our thinking towards successful outcomes. Be gracious, even to your perceived "opps", because you never truly know what cards life will deal. Collaboration is very crucial to success!

When my MBA journey started, we had just begun principal photography for Afamefuna: An Nwa Boi story, in 2023, which became Nigeria's most-watched film on Netflix in 2024.
To say this journey was tasking is an understatement. I felt like one of the characters from Igodo- a journey that would be eventually rewarding but challenging to go through.
Few years later, I have also left the set of Iwe Ala: An Ojude Oba story to attend my graduation this morning in Lagos, and I'm currently typing from the production set in Ogun State, as there must be no room for slacking.
One thing I can say is that LBS has really taught me so much that I never imagined I'll learn in a classroom, or amongst classmates, outside campus.
I'm truly grateful to God for a successful run, and to my family and friends for their encouragement and prayers, and also for understanding the drastic change in my social life and reduced commitment to social events (don't worry guys, I'm back now).
Very importantly, this is a shout out to @mrsfaj1 for facilitating this journey. Thank you very much Ma, and may your aspirations be watered bountifully too.
I'm happy to apply the skills and knowledge gained, to drive business impact, while leveraging on the social capital that Lagos Business School @lbsnigeria affords us.
