This is The End Is Here, an interactive apocalyptic adventure by Shiela Familaran, Shim Simplina, Kenneth Daniel Olanday, Kaede Maple, M Laurel, and Mica de Leon It’s a choose-your-own-adventure book with five different apocalyptic scenarios. There’s civilization’s collapse, a zombie apocalypse, an alien invasion, an eternal winter, a vanishing sun, and an AI revolution. I read all five stories and enjoyed them so much. My favorites are Vanishing of the Sun, which is about… you guessed it, the sun disappearing, and Whole White World, which is the story about the eternal winter. I thought both stories were unique, and I didn’t expect the directions they went. I don’t want to spoil too much, but these are the kinds of horror stories that I really love. The other stories were your standard horror stories, but they were still fun because they were action-packed and fast-paced. In fact, you can finish one story in one day. The best part about this book is the interactive aspect. If you’re not familiar with choose-your-own-adventure books, each chapter ends with multiple choices, and you get to pick how the story progresses. The fate of the world is essentially in your hands, and you can choose how the story will end. I read a lot of choose-your-own-adventure books growing up, like R.L. Stine’s Give Yourself Goosebumps, so reading this was really nostalgic. This Is the End will be available at the Summit Books booth at the Philippine Book Festival. The fair will be from March 13 to 16, 2025, at the Megatrade Hall at SM Megamall.

I feel like a champion!! This is my first time to hold every book I have written and co-authored so far and its weight made me feel proud of myself. This MIBF, I am grateful to be surrounded by my loved ones, my friends, my readers, and my co-authors. This alone made me feel so lucky! Though, there's also a hint of sadness at the end of it as I realized this might be my last MIBF. Still I am so happy I made the best memory before the end.
