📸 Hi, I’m Steve and I’ve been a photographer for almost two decades. I’ve worked on more than 35 cookbooks and done over 1,240 shoots (and counting). I just got new headshots done, and that felt like a good excuse to re-introduce myself. 👋🏻
I shoot food, drink, interiors and people. I always get asked “Do you get to eat the food?” And the answer is yes, if I possibly can! (That’s the best bit. Even if I once bit into a burger and realised it was custard instead of cheese.) 🍔
As well as my own I work in studios and on cookbooks, I post about food photography, from briefs and shot lists to what happens on set – and everything in between. If you’re interested in food photography, cookbooks, or how these shoots come together, I’ll be sharing more here.
I also co-founded Kemble House studio with my wife
@bexseal in Forest Hill, South East London (when we had a one-year-old and a three-year-old!) which we’ve been running for the past 8 years.
It has been hired for countless cookbooks, by food and drink brands, chefs and food writers, but also a shoot with a Geisha, many dinner parties, supper clubs and there may even have been a male stripper for a hen do (we only found out about that afterwards).
Thank you
@bexseal for taking the portraits. I think she’s done a great job, maybe a photographer in the making?!
