Happy anniversary to my wife @mrsangelanash I was looking for old photos to post and my phone had made a video of us celebrating our anniversary 7 years ago. I don't actually have these saved on my phone so I couldn't edit it. The thing about this that amazes me is I wasn't aware at the time how bad of a phobia Angela had back then regarding elevators. I had booked a trip to Ritz Carlton and then dinner at @sundialatl which is 71 stories up. Watching this video now I realize how brave she was to try and save this night for me. BTW she got therapy for the elevator issue and overcame that. She is a fighter, a winner, and someone I'm very blessed to call my wife.

Life update. In 2003 I was denied life insurance because I weighed 330 lbs. I have been losing weight rather consistently for 23 years now. This first photo shows me a few weeks ago with my friend @alanwilsonsc . The second photo shows my morning weigh-in from today. For the first time that I can recall, since I was a high school athlete, I weighed less than 200 lbs. My diet has gotten stricter and stricter through the years and I'm sure it's become a burden on my wife @mrsangelanash But she has supported me as I devote more hours to the gym and am very particular about what I will eat. The 3rd photo is what I looked like in 2006 with @seankingston visiting iHeartRadio. Like most obese people I avoided photos or tried hiding in them behind other people, so not many pics of me from that era exist. Yes this postis a humble brag. But hopefully also serves for some of my friends as a reminder when they're struggling that there's a path forward. I know that I was inspired by lots of posts like this. Promising that pain in the body would be less. You could overcome type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and a myriad of other ailments. It's true! Set your mind that you will do what it takes to make yourself healthy and trust that the decision If it's a real decision is actually the hardest part. Change your mind and you can change your life.
Just read about the passing of @brad3doorsdown Back in 2000-2003 I had the pleasure of working with him and @3doorsdown at Universal Records. I always said that they were my favorite band to help break. They were so appreciative and Brad in particular was just a great guy to hang out with. I'll never forget watching their rise in the Spring of 2000 as they went from tiny clubs to stadium shows as you can see in the last picture. He went from a trailer without a phone to a legit rock star. I haven't seen him or any of the guys in over 20 years but his passing reminds me how short life really is. I was very happy to read that he had become a born again Christian and I am confident the Jesus's blood will cover Brad's sins just I know it will cover mine. #RIPBrad
