This beautiful manta came to visit me on the edge of the reef on lady Elliot island under the last rays of sunshine. Floating alone in the cold winter waters the hazy blues turning inky in the fading rays, you start to whisper to the deep, the sound absorbed, the water lapping at your ears, an act of hope. A ritual of hope.
