I never imagined a world without your laughter in it.
I wish I hugged you tighter two weeks ago. I wish I could go back in time and soak in every second with you because I would have never imagined a time where you weren’t a text away or a world without you in it.
You’ve always been my baby cousin, my friend, supporter, the other half of nana & papa’s “two blonde, blue eyed girls” that is until you dyed your hair! You have always been amazing, sweet and an all around freaking rockstar of a human being. There is no doubt that your energy, smile and joy for life were magnetic. Anybody who ever got the chance to call you their friend knows just how blessed they were. As your family, I couldn’t be more thankful to have had the relationship that we had growing up and as we became adults. When we were little, you were like a mini me. Always trying to steal my toys and annoy the boys together. I remember we thought we would become pop stars when we were little. We sat in your room, with my blue fuzzy journal and started writing songs. So it’s no surprise to me that you were a force in the music industry.
As we got older, you were my shopping buddy, and we always made Papa carry our shopping bags for us. Then you were my adventure buddy. We went to Hawaii together and would always keep Nana and Papa on their toes.
You then became the coolest one of the family, living what I said to you was like a “rockstar life,” doing a job that you loved and getting to travel while doing it. You lit up when you talked about your job and I wish I told you more how proud I was of you. I loved following your journey and watching you flourish. I just never would have imagined the thing you loved would have also taken you away from us.
You always showed up for me, our family and the people in your life. From my fire academy graduation, me leaving for the military, military graduation, weddings, my bachelorette trip and most recently my wedding, you always made it a point to be there.
