Kellogg ❤️ our graduate students! At a recent indoor “picnic,” we had the pleasure of celebrating our doctoral affiliates and recognizing their many accomplishments from the past year. Congratulations to all on completing another successful academic year - now here’s to a summer with plenty of rest, sunshine, and maybe even a little productivity.

A simple treatment. A lifetime of impact. Children born with clubfoot in many parts of the world often go untreated – facing barriers to movement, school, and community. But research funded by the Kellogg Institute shows something powerful: early care can restore up to 80% of a child’s well-being – from physical mobility to mental health and social inclusion. And it costs about $500. Watch the story behind the research and see how access can change lives → see the link in bio! #GlobalDevelopment #PublicHealth #NotreDame #KelloggInstitute #HumanFlourishing

“There is simply no way for democracy to work in context where we are so divided and so polarized. It's just not possible.” — Sheri Berman On the latest episode of the Democracy Paradox, political scientist Sheri Berman discusses why democratic backsliding shouldn’t have surprised us, exploring how "partisan bubbles" and economic precarity threaten the foundations of even the most established democracies. 🎧 Link in bio to listen to the full episode! #Democracy #Podcast #SheriBerman #KelloggInstitute #History #Politics

Congratulations to Kellogg Faculty Fellow Christina Bambrick on her co-authored article, “Taking Ends Seriously: Toward Better Deliberation on Rights,” in Perspectives on Politics 👏 Workshopped during a Kellogg Work-in-Progress seminar, the article explores how an “ends-centric” approach can broaden how we think about rights – bringing in other important goals like protecting young people online and addressing misinformation. The paper cites several Kellogg scholars including Lisa Schirch, Francisco Urbina, and Ernesto Verdeja, as well as several other ND faculty. 📲 Read more at the link in our bio! #KelloggInstitute #PoliticalScience #AcademicResearch #Rights #Democracy

📚 New book spotlight! Kellogg Faculty Fellow Todd Walatka, director of Kellogg's LANACC program, has published "Words of Life: The Preaching of St. Óscar Romero" with Orbis Books. This collection brings together 12 of Romero’s most iconic homilies – powerful reflections that connect the Gospel to the struggles, hopes, and injustices faced by the people of El Salvador. More than 40 years later, Romero’s words still challenge us to live out faith through justice and service. ✨ “Those who… dedicate themselves to the service of others will live.” Learn more at the link in bio. #KelloggInstitute #NotreDame #OscarRomero #CatholicSocialTeaching #FaithAndJustice #NewBook
