Runners!!! I have put in the miles & training seasons to run a lot of Half Marathons (~20ish? now). I’ve continued to grow and get faster over the last decade of racing this sport- my 1st half marathon was in 2014! I’ve learned how to optimize my athletic performance for life, not just a training season! I am so grateful to be where I’m at in my running career and it’s far from over! Choosing #health changed my life! Now my mission is to help others to transform their lives by choosing a path of health & wellness 🌸🏃🏽‍♀️💪🏽🧠 FACT: Life expectancy in America has been on the decline since 2015, and COVID-19 has taken another three years off the life expectancy of those most burdened by chronic disease- Black, Latino, and Native American populations. FACT #2: The World Health Organization estimates that the average person spends the last 20% of their life in poor health. That’s an average of about 16 years. If you live to be 76 years old, that means that starting at age 60 you are on your way out! These facts are from my current read 📕: Young Forever by @drmarkhyman - Highly recommend this book to everyone! I wanted to re-introduce myself since I haven’t in a while! In March of this year, I graduated from @nutritionschool “IIN - Institute for Integrative Nutrition” 👩🏽‍🎓🎉! I studied nutrition & health for one year, earning my certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. Wooo 🥳! I have started working with clients in my 1-1 6 Month Coaching Program and this type of work REALLY FILLS UP MY CUP!!! 😌🫶🏽 I get so fulfilled helping others get 1% better every day! Seeing them become more confident & really take ownership of their health and their lives brings so much joy on both ends!! Finding health changed my life because the truth is, if I had stuck with my old habits of poor diet and lifestyle, I would be much more at risk for developing chronic diseases and avoidable pain & suffering. It’s never too late to start! I also am a passionate Run Coach! I got a certification last year through @rrcanational RRCA (Road Runners Club of America). I love coaching people to run the half marathon or marathon distance but I also welcome ALL runners or walkers! Soon, you can also catch me on the mic coaching at @stridefitness_westend STRIDE is a treadmill based group fitness gym welcoming runners/walkers of all levels to come STRIDE with us! Need to get out of your head? Are you currently struggling with self-doubt? I am! 🙋🏽‍♀️ Fear is at the root of self-doubt. Fear is what’s causing your self-doubt. Fear of failure or fear of success, fear of the unknown, of judgment, of change and on and on…. Fear can manifest itself in so many forms. To overcome fear; you must start to practice self-compassion. Love is the opposite of fear. Lean into love and compassion! You already know that movement is a form of therapy. It’s where I go to be with myself and with my thoughts. I’m able to free my thoughts and clear my mind. When I need to get out of my head; I get into my body! I connect my mind with my body!
