💁️💛 False Lash Placement 101: Avoid Common Mistakes!
A common mistake many makeup artists make is incorrectly applying false lashes, which can drastically change your eye shape and overall look. Proper lash placement is key to achieving your desired effect!
For a natural, doe-eyed appearance, place the falsies closer to your inner corner, keeping the outer corner more subtle. This opens up your eyes and creates a youthful, innocent vibe.
For a sultry, cat-eye effect, focus the lash volume on the outer corners, lifting and elongating your eye shape for a captivating and glamorous look.
However, be cautious of improper placement for your eye shape! For example, placing lashes too close to the outer corner on downturned eyes can exaggerate the downturn, creating a less flattering appearance. This is a common mistake I often see. Bringing the lashes in slightly creates a more lifted look for your client.
As an artist, this is incredibly important to me, as proper lash placement can mean the difference between okay makeup and truly amazing, results.
