“I was feeling better, but then a nurse came in to change my IV and said, ‘You should stay a couple more days. You almost died yesterday.’”
The arrival of @failurebandig ’s Location Lost — the L.A. trio’s fourth album since reuniting in 2014 — is a precious thing. That vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Ken Andrews almost died before they could even record it makes this all the more special.
Heard from @andrewsken on the path to the band’s latest LP, from an at-home back injury and hallucinatory post-surgery complications, to jamming his way back to Failure with his bandmates and @yelyahwilliams .
Ken hits on: the painful recovery period that inspired “The Air’s on Fire”; bringing friend and fan Hayley Williams onto “The Rising Skyline,” an extremely rare Failure studio collab; the influence of the Cure, the Banshees and Depeche Mode; getting back into the rhythm with his bandmates and lyric-writing; and how you “can’t help but infuse the work with whatever is top-of-mind, you know?”

I've got a few sessions still available for March and early April.. I've made these very affordable so this opportunity will reach musicians that don't normally have the resources to afford a session drummer and studio. Like any opportunity you'll need to take advantage of this before it's gone, don't wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow is promised to none of us.
I have a few more remote recording sessions available for March. These are extremely affordable and the quality will blow your pumpkin. These are for all walks, beginner, advanced, everyone with a song/s that want kick ass drums. DM @kelliiscott for details
