Growing up in this city, I’ve always had a huge amount of respect for the FDNY and the incredible women and men who put their lives on the line for us every single day. I’ve also always been curious what it would actually feel like to do what they do. After one day in their boots, I can say two things for sure: I’m officially too old to become a firefighter (that sucks), and these people are the real deal superheroes.

FDNY gave me an even deeper appreciation for the bravery and dedication of firefighters
