We went to WERK at the @mychimyfuture Citywide Meeting at the Chicago Cultural Center this week!@kingcharles_____ @mikedchicago and I were able to share to a room full of community leaders and City Officials about the Footwork and Family engagement programs we offer in Garfield Park through @creativenetwerk in partnership with the King Boys and Girls Clubs and through the generosity of the SGA Youth & Family Services Micro-Grant! We also shared a track that @t_rellthedj created with the B&GC youth through our recent book project with @elvin_explores called “Elvin Discovers Footwork” and we were so hype that we needed to kick a leg real quick!! Thank you to Daria for your support and capturing this moment! Respect to Kelli Forman for leading a Chicago footwork dance class right before the doors to 160 Unity opened last weekend @kelliforman’s class was hosted by our homies @after.werks and it’s the first time we’ve done a workshop right before a club night begins. It actually set the tone, intention and energy perfectly!Kelli ran through the foundations with London’s Chicago footwork dance community as well as some first timers and intrigued ravers. Wholesome works as per ️‍ 160 Unity and After Werks are committed to connecting Chicago footwork music and dance over here in the UK - you can see from our other recent posts what the circle was looking like during the night itself.Thanks to @mot.ldn for letting us do our thing and out to everyone who rolled through to learn some works and soak up Chicago footwork culture. Respect as ever to @deejayearl and @heavee_773 inside Catch After Werks at @aajamusic on the last Thursday of every month.Next 160 Unity in LDN on Sunday August 2. ️

@chicago_emc 2026 in Chicago was @creativenetwerk was honored to partner with @viva.acid and @jusbehouse to be part of the programming, contributing to a space centered on Chicago dance history, with a focus on house and footwork. It’s always meaningful to be in environments that are intentional about building bridges. ️I had the opportunity to assist my mentors @kingcharles_____ @princejron Being able to support and learn in real time, alongside the music community was powerful!Huge appreciation to @tre_daniels_ of @jusbehouse for holding it down on the decks!! Grateful for everyone who helped bring this together. Chicago continues to lead, innovate, and inspire on a global level. :@jimbrodiephoto@travisinmotion@crystallotusstudios@devontezz@iso_adi
