I had the good fortune of meeting and paying my deepest respects to His Eminence Kushok Thiksay Rinpoche in New Delhi. Venerable Nawang Chamba Stanzin - Thiksay Khenpo Rinpoche, honoured and recognised with Padma Shri by the Government of India for his noble work and remarkable contribution towards the social and spiritual heritage of Ladakh, is a visionary monk and pioneer in many aspects. As one of the truly great personalities of Ladakh of this generation, his vision for the land and its people has been a big blessing and source of inspiration. He recollected many anecdotes and we discussed promising ideas for the preservation and promotion of the Ladakhi language and cultural heritage. My sincere prayers for a long life and good health of this great monk and dharma teacher of Ladakh.

Our beloved teacher and then abbot, Kachen Lobzang Zopta is seen here leading ceremonies with monks and keeping a benign watch on me and our present Abbott Zeekyab Rinpoche.
