Wanna know how I take my camera from the first clip to the second? Here are some steps;
• Drop exposure to -1.7
• Resolution to 4K
• FPS to 30
Now on your phone…
• Turn off auto HDR (keeps lighting consistent)
• Lock your exposure + focus (tap and hold subject)
• Keep ISO low (avoid grainy footage)
• Clean your lens (this one is underrated but changes everything)
Now the real magic — CapCut 🎬
• Import your clip
• Go to Adjust
Start here:
• Brightness: -5 to -10
• Contrast: +15 to +25
• Saturation: -5 (don’t overdo colors)
For that cinematic feel 👇🏾
• Highlights: -30 to -50 (bring back sky/details)
• Shadows: +20 to +35 (recover dark areas)
• Temperature: +5 (slight warmth)
• Tint: +2 or +3 (balance skin tones)
Sharpen & finish 🎯
• Sharpen: +10 (just a little, keep it clean)
• Fade: +5 (adds that soft film touch)
• Vignette: +8 to +12 (draws focus to subject)
Extra sauce 🔥
• Add Filter → use something subtle at 10–20%
• Add slight Grain (5–10) for texture
• Use Stabilize if needed
⸻
That’s literally how you turn a basic phone clip into something that looks professional and intentional.
