Very thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of Restored/Access by @kekojackson .✨ The book combines recent photographs with archival materials from his uncle’s collection on Allensworth—the first town in California to be founded, financed, and governed by Black people. Founded in 1908 as a symbol of freedom in the West, Allensworth is part of a long legacy of independent and autonomous communities created by revolutionaries and people who escaped enslavement. @kekojackson brings together visual narratives of the past and present to illustrate the evolution of this town and its significance across time through its success and decline. Coming soon! Available for preorder at smingsming.com. #allensworth #kekojackson
