I found photos from when I first moved into the loft a year ago and was surprised by how much has changed since.
I remember thinking I didn’t need a rug because I wanted to show as much of the concrete flooring as possible, and that the tv looked good on the floor without being mounted or on a shelf (lol).
Hello to everyone new here and thank you all for following and supporting, it’s been fun making content out of my comfort zone. Cheers to another year 🍻

Postcards from Nagano, Gunma, Atami, and Tokyo
Nagano highlights: experiencing snowfall at the Togakushi Shrine and Zenkōji Temple; visiting Jigokudani Monkey Park - very touristy but surprisingly worth it
Gunma highlights: enjoying my own private onsen at the historic Sekizenkan Ryokan (built in 1691), said to have inspired the bath house design in Miyazaki’s Spirited Away
Atami highlights: catching one of Japan’s earliest cherry blossom blooms in late January
Tokyo highlights: insane cityscape views from the hotel suite; capturing the warm evening glow from the Maison Hermès Ginza building
One of my favorite examples of the intersection between art and fashion is renowned French designer Ronan Bouroullec’s collaboration with Homme Plissé Issey Miyake for their Autumn/Winter 2024 collection. A main focus of the collection was the translation of Bouroullec’s colorful felt-tip brush strokes into Homme Plissé Issey Miyake’s signature pleats, resulting in literal pieces of wearable art. The collection encompassed a full wardrobe from coats to totes and scarves.
Beyond his personal artwork, Ronan has also worked closely with his brother Erwin under their Parisian design company Atelier Bourollec, creating objects for clients such as Vitra, HAY, Ligne Roset, and Kvadrat (they’re also the duo behind the ubiquitous Samsung Serif TV).

The Terra Indigo collection is now available, fabricated in a very special denim sourced from Japan. The warp threads are comprised of indigo rope-dyed cotton, while the weft threads are woven in a topography-like pattern. Buckle back cinches with a beautiful copper M-type core were supplied by Citron Jeans Japan, while the rest of the jacket is reinforced with YKK aged nickel hardware.
I based the trousers off my old Skyhook cargo trousers design, updated with a significantly more relaxed fit. In order to match the Type 1101, the original Skyhook zippers were eschewed in favor of dual faux-continuous open slit pockets (top pocket for hands, bottom pocket for cargo) reinforced by YKK rivets.
The Type 1101 is an homage to the classic Type 1 jacket, updated with a less restrictive body while still keeping the clean cropped silhouette of the original. Typical front pleat stitching has been replaced with YKK rivets, and a left chest stash pocket is hidden among the pleats. Side welt hand pockets were added for increased practicality.
As always, huge thanks to my beast patternmaker Elliott and beast sewer Julio.
Made proudly in Los Angeles.
