Rediscovering Jesus: The Good Shepherd John 10:1-18 We may not see ourselves as religiously powerful people, but in other ways, we might seek to live in control instead of living in connection! Little gut check for you: •Control says: I fix people so I don’t have to feel them. Connection says: I can sit with someone without needing to change them •Control says: I perform so I stay accepted. Connection says: I show up honestly and let myself be known •Control says: I keep tight boundaries so I don’t get hurt. Connection says: I discern boundaries that actually allow love to grow •Control says: I need to be right. Connection says: I’m willing to be in relationship even when I’m not •Control says: I manage my image. Harper was invited by the kindest soul tonight to go meet @john_john_florence at the @flsurfmuseum which is across the street from our house. So psyched for Harper to be in the room with so many of the people who have inspired him as a surfer and beyond. He made so many connections tonight as he continues to train for his 80 mile prone paddle board race from the Bahamas @crossingforcf ! Dream come true!

I mean... I haven't been this excited about a concert in a long time. First of all....I grew up down the road from the Signal Mountain Opry and I used to go in high school with @josephdecosimo . And now NPR All Songs Considered describes his music as “classic and current at the same time” and “pushing the sonic boundaries of old-time music ... gorgeous.” @lucasjohn_banjo is the two time national Old-time Banjo Champion! What! So excited to hear @sabatellamusic for the first time! Going to have @meatinthemiddlefl serving up food and all the proceeds from the night go to caring for the Lake Worth Lagoon (our intracoastal waterway) and the Tarpon Cove Islands that are bringing more sea turtles and vitality to our waters! Going to be an amazing night. @myfwc @palmbeachcountyfl @thecityofwpb

Hampton fought for life harder than any person I've ever met. He inspired so many of us along the way. The three us surrounding him in this picture are lives he transformed. There are so many more. We love you Hampton!

Such a gift to celebrate @thegrovechurchofficial on Sunday with @davidhancock13 . David was one of the very first church planters I ever had the honor of coaching almost 11 years ago, and I am still in awe of the space they have created. It is a place where believers and skeptics alike are invited to wrestle honestly with faith and doubt. They are doing such unique and beautiful work, and I am deeply proud as a friend, a fellow church planter, and a coach. I asked David what was one thing he took from our time of coaching together, and he said, “The power of creating a space where vulnerability can meet the good news of Christ and bring healing.” 🙌🏽❤️🙌🏽 I also love that last year, @j.ayers618 released a book called You Can Trust a God with Scars. A book that is such an incredible resource for this work. And, Lastly I am grateful that David, Jared, Tim Norton, and I gather once a month to create that very kind of space for one another. Vulnerable, honest, and grounded in so much grace. (Excited for @ryanpatrickfink now too as he is about to plant a church!) So grateful. It really was a beautiful Sunday.

This morning we were surrounded by other recipients and people doing incredible work in Palm Beach County and felt truly inspired. To the Quantum Foundation: thank you. Your belief in small, local organizations doing healing work on the ground means everything. Because of you, we’re able to expand our scholarship fund and offer greater access to mental health care for individuals, couples, and families right here in our community. And to our incredible therapists who serve through PCC — thank you. Your compassion, your presence, and your willingness to partner with us in this mission make this work possible. You show up with humility, skill, and heart, offering care that restores dignity and helps our community heal. We are so grateful for each of you. Also a huge thank you to @providenciawpb for being our greatest support and the community that birthed this dream. And our gratitude goes out to @memorialpreswpb for a space to house our dream. At PCC, we remain committed to restoring dignity, removing financial barriers to mental healthcare, and creating pathways to healing for those who might not otherwise have access. We are also continually committed to removing the stigma around receiving mental healthcare. At some point in our lives, we all will need and deserve a safe space to be cared for and loved into health and wholeness. This grant helps us continue that mission with even more heart, stability, and reach.
