I keep looking for joy on my phone. In pictures, connections with other, memories. It’s time to admit that I’ve made a litany of loss and the places I find in there speak to that which is gone. Celluloid makes a shitty blanket.

Some little place in Louisville where friendships get strengthened and horrors are witnessed in equal measure. Still love that you can hand hold at 1/15 with these cameras.

I don’t remember what city we were in, but the celluloid gods were hanging out there, too.

I respect those who make the quiet spaces the most important ones.

Shooting @kendricklamar at the Super Bowl Halftime Show with @nickbellendir ’s M3 (that he loaned me until mine js fixed) and a very beat up collapsible Summicron was not something I’d have seen in my future even a year ago. Unbelievable gratitude to @getbacklit for having me there, giving me access, and putting up with my obsession.

Can’t tell if it’s standing still as things pass me by, or if it’s focus despite distractions. It’s going to wrap up in awfully similar ways regardless.

A rare b+w from me. It’s not really from me, though- it’s always from the person in front of my lens.

An evening out in Dallas made me believe in the power of 1/15 shutters and a steady hand.

@macsclubdeuce is a place out of time, and part of what makes home feel like home.
