Outsider Pictures and Look Aside Films are proud to present ‘Water’. Illness strikes; Jan and his mother’s life is changed forever. Eight-year-old Jan spends his weekend making sure his mother can get through each day as smoothly as possible. Innocence colours his every action. Guilt consumes hers. Echoes of normality try to seep through from the outside – their neighbours reminding them of what life used to be. Jan and his mother’s story is a powerful and heartrending portrait of life for young carers and their parents, as they learn to let go of what they once knew. I’ve felt every emotion possible this year my head wants to explode with love, joy, gratitude, and lots of stuff in between. Work has been INSANE - amazing contracts, intimacy coordinating my first feature film, and producing a FUNDED short film with the most honest creative @yilmazufilm . I’ve made friends who will be in my life forever and bonded with family in ways I never thought possible. More joy and ocean time in 2026 please 🌊💃
