Really blessssed to be invited to play @alowhum , as well as some beautiful extra shows in Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Tāmaki Makaurau with some old friends and new friends who I am eager to meet and see play!! Have already been overwhelmed with generosity from people who barely know me & I am so excited to see n learn more from all those we meet along the way ! (Beautiful font on poster by @horsejnk )🤍🏹

It’s been a year - or something like that. What a bizarre and confusing thing to put aside my creating (in a musical sense) and nurture creativity in all the other crevices of my life. Glad that @capslock.adl have invited this part of me back… I’ll be playing at @goodwoodbooks with Pail Hands on the 21st of February, and a song I wrote, ‘collapsing’, will be out on the second compilation of ‘sitting in the same chairs’ and is in very good musical company!!
happy @thea.lucia / short snarl release day. I have been so enamoured by thea and their constant movement forward without force or doubt. A push so gentle but always with intent - intent to create, to share and to challenge your usual approach to listening or writing. It’s an unlikely experience to feel a sense of accomplishment and pride when creating (for me). Not while being a part of short snarl. Thank you sam for extending these same sentiments ! Sharing an amazing project ‘Short Snarl’ by our beautiful violinist @thea.lucia , who has released a poignant collection of songs today (link in my bio!!). I was a part of this project in writing drums to Thea and @harrydeansamton ’s existing arrangements, recording live in my shed and playing with pure feeling —- such an honour to be a part of one of my favourite artists projects & an important reminder to me of collaborative creativity & its power!! Thank you also to Matt Shulz at @interimstudios for recording “Heat, Heavy”. Artwork by the gooorgeous @scratchyyyy__ .

so beyond grateful for this experience at A Low Hum — how lucky lucky lucky we were all to be there, together, hand in hand sharing songs & love & sooo much joy. Everything I saw… the best thing I’ve ever seen…. Over and over again. So many thanks to Blink for having us, and to the many artists (especially my Tarndanya family). Still can’t believe it !!!
