ICED OUT: High school students from Detroit’s Cass Tech and DSA walked out of class Friday afternoon. The large assembly from both area schools took to the streets in protest of federal immigration enforcement.
ICE arrests and deportations have ramped across the country under the Trump administration. Friday's walk-out by students in Detroit follows heighten tensions in Minnesota where recent ICE engagement with protesters have led to officer-fired shootings and civilian deaths.
