It is official! Leroy’s Blend is officially ready to order and be in your home! This coffee is just the start of my journey into a new venture. I am proud of the product, and I’m excited for you all to try it. When drinking coffee, I’m thinking about the values of patience and presence that my Pop pop Leroy taught me. I welcome you all to do the same. Think of the lessons of your grandparents or elders that had a profound impact on you as you sip this coffee. We expect women to pick better partners, but we don’t teach men how to be better partners. Thank you @thewinnersculture for having me on to discuss everything from the political system failing us to Meg & Klay.

What’s your relationship to pleasure? I analyze my own relationship to pleasure and how my male friends are at the center of it. adrienne maree brown’s “Pleasure Activism” was at the core of this piece. I have been thinking about what pop culture has been telling us about male pleasure, repression, and the violence that comes along with it. So… I wrote about it. #heatedrivalry #halfman #hbo

In order to preserve our culture, then we must continue to tell our stories through dialogue, fellowship, and with humility. Thank you @phillyblkpride and @hunguppod for having me.

The Road to Pride podcast created space for something deeper than conversation it centered truth, history, and lived experience. 🎙️🏳️‍🌈 Through storytelling from former board members Landis and Miss Deborah, the episode highlighted just how much of our past still echoes in the present. The same challenges, the same fights for visibility, respect, and sustainability still showing up today in different forms. This is why documenting our stories matters. It connects generations, preserves legacy, and ensures that the lessons learned aren’t lost. Philly Black Pride stands on decades of resilience, and conversations like this remind us that the work continues with intention, with awareness, and with community at the center. Thank you @hunguppod and @keepinitabeanpod for coming together and keeping the conversation intentional and rooted in joy ❤️

Thank you to everyone who made ‘The Road to Pride’ a success last night. Philly came out on a Monday night and showed love. The goal was to kick off Philly Black Pride 2026 with storytelling- personal stories about the early years of Philly Black Pride and we did JUST that 🖤. Thank you @phillyblkpride for making this happen and for collaborating with my podcast @hunguppod and Marquise Richards @marquisedavon @keepinitabeanpod for co-hosting. Thank you @phillycam for hosting us. Big shoutout to all the panelists for bringing this idea to life: Deborah Johnson, Landis Osborne, Le Thomas and Jacen Bowman. Philly Black Pride Board I appreciate all the support y’all poured into this event. Thank you @shopritestores for your in-kind donation and all Philly Black Pride 2026 sponsors @philly.bebashi @jackdapp @gileadsciences @humanrightscampaign @viivhealthcare @visitphilly @solacepharmacy @avitapharmacy @cityofphiladelphia @phillyaidsthrift @phillyfight Empowered Against MPOX, Philly Keep on Loving & A Philadelphia Planning Institute. #philly #pride #live #pod #fyp

Dave Chappelle truly believes that the ends justify the means. It made me think of Hov and other Gen X Black men in my life that have shared this sentiment. Our success as Black men doesn’t need to be in question as long as we remain there. I sat down and meditated on this mindset, explored how this is connected with many of us that experienced working class conditions, and how class shouldn’t be conflated with your morality. Grab your drink of choice, then read my new piece.
