I decided to do it … even if it wasn’t perfect I know I’ve been gone for awhile and honestly I needed the time. I am still working on a lot, however I’ve also been working on this “I Deserve” Digital Affirmation and Activity Journal ! All prompts and designs have been made by me, over the last year and a half. As I learn more about my journey and purpose , I’m also learning what I want Mpenzi Tundae to stand for! As much as I love being a birth worker and community doula , I know my journey is meant to touch people in all walks of life ! As I found myself struggling through depression, anxiety, heartache, fear, instability and more , I knew I needed more than what I could humanly muster up. I was so lost in my thoughts and many days I couldnt mutter a word or prayer. So I created what I needed. If you haven’t notice , Mpenzi Tundae has become Mpenzi Tundae Holistic Care… my goal is to aid others on their human growth journey! just a small recap of yesterday’s joy! here a few highlights🥺 From having my family come and see my art and being inspired to have their art be seen! Sharing my world with those I love. Without their support this journey would be harder than it already is! I love y’all To my ShinMamas always coming to support their favorite doula! Shoutout to @annessalynn_ for just being you yo! Like I never have to worry about my back, or front. And she always makes sure the people know she loves her ShinDoula 🥺🫶🏾 Hanging out with my ShinBabies and watching them be free and have fun…priceless Touching shoulders wit the famous lol @jurdanbryant lol jk (not really) but seeing you do ya thang, while I do mine … priceless! Also, I love a full circle moment ! Seeing the art of other amazing creatives, and seeing my guys win!! We love to see it! The countless connections I’ve made, and the countless opportunities that came from this ! I’m so grateful! And of course dancing under the sun and just enjoying life. I can’t be grateful enough just for the ability to move my body ( I’m paying for it for sure lol but fuck it). Being able to be my present self, building my future, in the place that made me …. man, I don’t think y’all get it. Thank you West Baltimore, Thank you to my team! but Hol onnnnn… @reesecuppp bestfriend, we been doing this thing together for SO long. And to see us now, I know 13 year old us is squealing lol. Thank you for being my right hand, and source of strength when I have none or misplace my own. I love you. You get me, I know this for sure. and a special dedication to my birth parents, Beverly Tundae & Robert Anthony. I know it’s not ideal, but either way my gift came from you two. May I carry out the dreams , you never got to see come true for yourselves as artists! And to my mama, Patricia, thank you , finding our way to restoration thru art has been healing. I love to see you smile! what may have felt mundane or regular to some , felt wildly surreal to me. Thank you Yah for the path.
