Dear friends,
fellow skaters and passerby , we are very happy to present you the very first edition of SLUGGISH, a skatezine by the Brussels skatecrew “ SLUGS “ .
Sometimes we like to skate fast , but most of the time we love to take it really, really slow; hence the name of this zine .
We are all some sort of gatherers of images, sounds, film, thoughts, textures, textiles, tastes,,, so we decided to showcase our collection and compile them in a zine. You will witness some of our surroundings here in Bruxelles, considered « the capital of Europe » in Belgium .
We will show you around some street skate spots , DIY skateparks and a skate trip closeby to Luxembourg , and much more <3
About the crew : Some of us met a few years ago , some a few months ago . We realised we have all in common , aside of skating , an urge to create collectively and individually , in parallel to skateboarding and often during sessions too !
We organise various events , such as recurring queer skatesessions , a fundraising for Palestine , one of us also hosts a foodtruck .
This edition is a first attempt to bring all of this to the world and showcase a community of the girls, women & queer skate scene through our eyes,,, we hope to make more in the future!

很⾼興向⼤家介紹《SLUGGISH》第⼀期——這是⼀本由布魯塞爾滑板團體「SLUGS」所製作的滑板雜誌。
或許人們崇尚滑得飛快，但⼤多數時候，我們更愛滑得非常、非常慢——這本雜誌的名字便由此⽽來。
無論影像、聲⾳、電影、思想、質地、織物與品味，我們都是生活中的搜集者，我們決定將這些收藏彙編成冊。
這期內容將帶大家走進「歐洲⾸都」——比利時布魯塞爾，⾛訪當地的街頭板點、DIY滑板場、一趟盧森堡滑板之旅，以及更多精彩內容 <3。
關於這個團隊：
我們之中有些⼈幾年前就相識，有些則是幾個⽉前才加入。除了滑板之外，我們還有⼀個共同點：都有⼀股強烈的衝動想要進⾏集體與個⼈的創作！
我們組織各種活動，例如定期舉⾏的酷兒滑板聚會（Queer Skatesessions）、為巴勒斯坦籌款等。
SLUGGISH是我們⾸次嘗試透過我們的雙眼，展現女孩、女性及酷兒滑板社群的⾯貌——我們希望未來能創作更多作品！
