Have you ever thought about the person who made it, how far it has had to travel, the energy taken to create it, that item you have bought for the weekend & then may never wear again...let’s be honest we have all done this, but we can no longer claim ignorance.

Those clever company’s and their marketing campaigns, calling you “babe” and “gurllllll” trying to pass off as being your friend when all they are doing is trying to get your money. You hold power with your money. If you do not buy, there is no need for it to be made. If there is a need for more sustainable clothes, trust me, companies will listen (they follow da💰) it’s we who need to create that need.

Of course, I’m not saying never buy anything again. I believe in sustainability for the planet & also sustainability for the people. What I am saying is really think about whether you actually need to buy something new to wear ery weekend. (Disclaimer: I’m not professing to be the perfect person, a few years ago that was me too, every pay day. ) ➵

But I saw something super scary a few days ago which was the inspo for this post. That we have around 127 months to save our planet. #2030. This is when some serious action needs to have already taken place. ➵

After that, we will not be able to reverse the damage. We will have ultimately sentenced our earth to death. ➵

It is OUR responsibility to do something. We could either save our planet, or destroy it. It is our generation that has the power to decide whether human life will continue to be able to survive on earth...
