This coming year I’m planning on doing a LOT more painting. I got so wrapped up in knife making and engraving the last couple years I almost forgot about my first real passion which is just making art.
Making folders and engraving is all about precision, tight tolerances and subtraction of material, whereas painting(oil painting in specific) is all loose and flowy and addition of material. Basically polar opposites of each other.
I think it’s healthy to have a balance, which Ive definitely been missing..

What’s up everyone!? Gabriel and I are extremely stoked to announce we have been working hard on a very custom knife. The good Lord arranged for us to cross paths months ago, made a solid friendship quickly and began discussions of doing collaboration pieces this year.
