Some photos i took from a test roll of HP5+ film back in January. Shooting film has definitely given me a new understanding of how you take a photo. No longer holding the shutter expecting to get at least one good shot but instead taking the time to anticipate, prepare, and wait for the right moment to take the photo.

Shot my first ever roll of film and got the test shots back today. My first experience ever shooting with film was significantly different from shooting digitally and I loved every second of it! I can’t wait to shoot more film and incorporate into my workflow this semester!

For my term project titled “Threads” these 12 images represent fashion as a visual form of self expression but also my growth as a photographer. Over the summer I knew I wanted go explore fashion based work and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with these 6 incredibly talented individuals who helped bring my vision to life. Their dedication and passion truly brought this whole project together and I had an amazing time working with each of them. I absolutely love how the final 12 images came out and seeing them all printed and put up was such a rewarding feeling. I’m eager to continue creating with this style and refining it even further.

An absolutely surreal concert experience that I will never forget. Getting to see one of my favourite artists of all time up close and hearing all of her incredible songs live will be an unforgettable memory. Despite not having my camera on me I made sure to put my phone camera to the test and safe to say I was not disappointed with the results. Kali is truly an incredible artist and i’m glad I was able to capture these moments.
