I spent most of last week in Virginia/DC with some family eating good food, doing tourist things, walking beautiful neighborhoods, and hearing stories from my Grandma’s childhood and younger years. It was a special time.
It was cool to see some of the memorials and old buildings as an adult even though it’s a weird and surreal time to be in DC. Photo number two is from the Library of Congress and our tour guide said that the reason they used v’s instead of u’s in the engraved quotes is basically because the Europeans did it so we copied them which I found hilarious and unsurprising. (The quotes were pretty great though.)
This past week in Bend. Swipe for what I think are hilarious photos of Dexter hoping for bites of all of the food I ate in my car - which I of course gave him.
I was supposed to spend the week in Switzerland with Cary, but I ended up canceling my trip to stay in Oregon and take a little break that didn’t involve international travel. It was the right choice. 😊

After a couple of years of chipping away at it, I finally finished my Associate Degree last week. Whether I go back to school again or not, it feels really good to have finished this chapter. Thank you to everyone who has cheered me on through this process ♥️

Spent my 34th birthday in bed with food poisoning which has not been awesome so here’s a photo of me from better days (Barcelona in October) to mark the moment. 😁
Instead of celebrating with my friends tonight I’m drinking Pedialyte on ice and taking the break my body has needed for a while.

2025 recapped in 10 iPhone Notes
I loved looking through all of my notes last year to reflect on all of the random stuff I wrote and quotes I saved so I’m doing it again! Despite the never-ending chaos of the world, our little life was filled with a lot of good. I traveled solo a few times, I got a few classes closer to finishing my degree, and I learned how to be a little more free.
